The design concept for this restaurant is simple and characterised. The use of a narrow range of shades and materials and the absence of detail lends the space an atmosphere of austerity; light and shadow highlight a strong and synthetic idea: a system of double thickness walls creates a fluid scheme, in which the light and shadow play on the surfaces of the materials to palpable effect. The design of the bar counter, in contrast to the fluid design of the walls, is like a sculptural monolith, but also a dynamic centrepiece, that invites the customer to enter and explore the space.
