IFHP stand, italy

This project translates the theme of conflict, historic city vs. contemporary urban structure . The historic city is represented by the Palazzo dei Congressi which is the location of the exhibition, urban encroachment is represented by seamless parallel colour blocks driving through the exhibition space, snaking through the exhibits from the street to the back of the building and from outside to inside, then outside again like a virus spreading through the body of the architecture. The blocks and stripes climb the stairs, overcome the exhibition totems, incorporate the benches, dissect the long reception desk, and inform the boundaries of the exhibition stands, as a symbolic representation of modern urban infrastructure.
